Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson born to British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby & Chris Watson in Paris, France. The couple moved to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five years old and attended at the Dragon School. Emma always had the desire to be a professional actress when she was just at the age of six. She studied at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford which is an acting academy that offers part-time classes. At the age of ten the actress took part in and played the leading role in a number of Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Casting began in 1999 to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was found by agents through their Oxford teacher. After eight auditions consistently, producer David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they had been cast for the roles of the three main characters Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. The debut of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. The highest-grossing movie of 2001, the film set records for its opening day opening and its opening weekend earnings. Reviewers have been highly lauding the film and the performances by the three main young actors. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her outstanding performance.
